Oil tasting and food serving
Through years and years of tasting, as owners of the oil mill Sv. Ivan in Vodice and several larger olive groves, we learned almost everything there was to know about olive oil. Olive growing and olive oil production have been in our family for years.
Our spacious tasting room, which spreads over 150 square meters, surrounded by a large parking space suitable for buses, flexibility of working hours, as well as the ability to adapt to the needs of our visitors make the Sv. Ivan Olive Oil Center great idea to spice up your vacation or weekend getaway. The interior itself, which is dominated by natural materials and colors, looks comfortable and soothing, so as such it provides a relaxing break from the hectic everyday life. The tasting room consists of two large rooms equipped for oil tasting and serving food and a large kitchen with a fireplace and dining area designed for smaller groups. The outdoor space in the warmer months is also provided for tasting oils and local delicacies. Dew to the big capacity of the spaces we are able to organize team buildings, celebrations and various events.

On our 2 hour olive oil tasting tour, we will first take a short tour of the plant, to get an insight into the entire production process – from receiving the olive fruit until the moment when these precious golden drops begin to fill the canisters. Through a concise historical overview, we will explain to you how our ancestors did it in the past, compared to how we do it today. We will introduce you to the typical characteristics of olive oil, its strengths and weaknesses. Through sightseeing and storytelling, we will move on to tasting different varieties of olive oil. While we’ll make sure you don’t go home without learning how to taste the oil professionally, be prepared to pamper your palate with the magical flavors of our platters with finest local delicacies – homemade cheese, prosciutto, olives and capers..
If you add a sip or two of our wines – we guarantee you will want to come back and try everything again.
Tour price per person is 34,51€ (260 kn). For children under 7 years we do not charge tours. Please send your reservation requests at least 1 day in advance.

Saturday – Sunday: 9:00 – 12:00 / 18:00 – 20:00
